Kogon District Specialized School has begun the process of joining the “Eco-Schools Uzbekistan” project for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The project aims to develop environmental awareness, culture, and the principles of sustainable development among students. Through the program, students will gain practical skills in waste sorting, efficient use of resources, and environmental protection.
Participation in the project also helps students develop leadership, initiative, and teamwork skills. An экологical committee has been established at the school to assess the environmental situation and develop an action plan. Students are taught to understand global environmental issues and to create practical solutions within their local communities.
The “Eco-Schools” methodology is based on international experience and contributes to strengthening the school’s environmental potential. The project also enhances cooperation between the school community, parents, and the local neighborhood.
Schools that actively participate for two years have the opportunity to receive the international “Green Flag” award.
Through this project, our school aims to educate students as future environmental leaders.
